Fun Friday night with the Harvey family.

Drew on his 9 month bday!

Sweet boy!
Drew turned 9 months old yesterday and I just can't believe how fast the time has flown by. It's even more crazy to think that he will be 1 year old in just a few short months! The weeks seem to fly by, which in some ways is a good thing because we are staying busy and having fun, but its also scary to think that my boys are growing up so quickly and it's a constant reminder to really enjoy each day and make the most of it. I took Drew in for his 9 month well check and he's in the 75% for both weight and height and is right on track with all of his milestones. He's so close to crawling, I think it's just a matter of days now in fact today he did one little crawl with one knee and then back to his tummy. He's rolling and turning in circles on his tummy so any day now he will be cruzing around on hands and knees! He's eating lots of new things like pancakes, eggs, cheese, beans, chicken, yogurt, and lots of different veggies too. We had a great week last week with some awesome weather so we hit up the park a few times, saw some good friends, and went on a some good walks. We are so ready for spring and summer we can almost taste it! Orlin went fishing with some of his buddies and caught a huge springer salmon which we enjoyed for dinner on Saturday night. Noah has his first dentist visit tomorrow so I'm hoping all goes well. We had soccer pictures and a game on Saturday which went ok, but Noah hardly wanted to play. I'm kind of looking forward to it being over because he's just not that into it. I think we'll take a year off and try it again or maybe even a different sport the next go around.

Trying new things!

So I've been a little mia lately and I'm not really sure why, but I think it's a combination of Orlin's crazy work schedule the last couple of weeks and some blah days at home with all the rain we've been having. We ended up skipping Noah's soccer practice on Monday cause I didn't have a sitter and both boys were still napping and I really couldn't justify waking both of them up just for a 45 min practice! I was able to get out Monday night with some girlfriends and watched the finale of the Bachelor which was so nice. It's amazing what one evening with some good girlfriends will do for your soul! I so look forward to my girl time and I can honestly say it makes me a better wife and Mommy! So last night I steamed up some broccoli, carrots, and sweet potatoe and Drew loved every bit of it! It's so fun to see him eat new things and learn how to feed himself! He's still loving the Cheerios in the morning and we will continue to try new things. I also made a yummy dinner for Orlin, Noah and I and it was a recipe from the Better Homes and Garden mag I got this month. It was for a Mango Chicken Salad and it turned out pretty good. Both Orlin and Noah enjoyed it. Noah had his second soccer game today and we had a big turn out of family that came to watch. Grandma, Nana, Grandpa, Uncle Ty, and his girlfriend Jaclyn, (Noah's secret crush) were all there to cheer him on! He did pretty good, but also had times when he had decided that he was done playing. As long as he's enjoying it and plays when he feels comfortable I'm ok with it and have decided not to push it anymore. I figure it will come in time and I have to also remind myself that he's only 3! My friend Lacy is coming this afternoon and her and I are off to have some good girl time of shopping and dinner maybe. Orlin took the kiddos over to his parents to visit with them and Uncle Ty and Jaclyn. Noah was a little reluctant to go, but once he knew Jaclyn would be there he was ready to go! So cute! Happy Weekend!

Noah's first soccer game!

Noah had his first soccer game yesterday and it went pretty good! Mommy, Daddy, and Drew were there to cheer him on for his first big game! He was in for most all of the first half so mid way through he was getting a little burned out, but all in all he did good. At practices and even the game he has quite a few moments where he wants to come over and sit with me, so I have been trying to encourage him to get back out there and join his team. I have just been battling with whether it's too much and if he is really enjoying it. I certaintly would never want to push him too hard and make him really not enjoy the sport, but I want to give him the opportunity to learn about it and see if he enjoys it. We have our third practice tomorrow night so I may try to watch from the window outside and see if that helps cause when I'm out of reach and view he does so much better!

Fun day at the park!

Noah is becoming a pretty good photographer!

Noah wanted to make sure I wouldn't make him dizzy!

Drew loves the swings!

Yeah!

Mommy and her boys!

Noah loves this tractor digger at the park.
today we made it our mission to get out and get active! We left right after Drewby's nap and bundled up for a nice walk and some play time at the park in Woodinville. We even brought Annie along so she could also get some exercise. The sun came out for most of our trip but by the time we left the wind was picking up and it was chilly! We all had a great time and after we left the park we went and visited Daddy, Uncle Brett, and Karisa at the distillery. Perfect Friday afternoon! I am now looking forward to a fun night out with my Mom and my sister! We are headed out to PF Changs for dinner and will do some shopping around Alderwood Mall. It's a great start to the weekend if you ask me!

Drew's first word!

Drew turned 8 months on the 27th of Februrary and over the last few days he has been saying "Ma" and just yesterday it turned into "Mama"! So exciting for all of us, especially me! He is working on his seventh tooth, 4 on top and three on the bottom and is rolling all over the place! I can tell he is getting ready to crawl but to be honest, I am not quite ready for this trasition yet! Noah crawled at 9 months and walked at 11 months and I'm just having a hard time believing that all this activity is just around the corner for our little Drewby! He is at such a fun age and I am just really trying to take it all in because more than likely this will be our last one! He has such a sweet little personality and loves to be held and snuggled. He loves big brother Noah and loves it when any of us play ball or a game of peek a boo! He is still eating two meals a day besides his bottles, but just recently he has been wanting a lunch meal as well. We also started giving him the baby puffs and wafers and he seems to be really enjoying them. It really is unbelievable how fast the days and weeks go by and it really freaks me out to think that before I know it Drew will be 1 year old!

We have been so lucky with both boys in that they are both great sleepers, (Drew started sleeping through the night right around 2 months and has been going strong ever since). Over the last few days Noah has not been taking his nap in the afternoon and I'm thinking that he might be starting to outgrow them. I can tell that he still needs a little down time during the day so I figure he still can have some quiet time up in his room so we both get a little break! I think part of the problem is that he is needing more physical activity during the day and with this weather we have been having we have been so cooped up inside that he hasn't been able to get out and burn off his energy. I am thinking we may need to invest in some rain gear and see if we can't correct this problem asap!

Noah's first soccer practice!

Coach Kevin and the team!

our little duckling after a bath!
Noah joined a 3 to 4 year old soccer team through the YMCA in Monroe and had his first practice yesterday! It was an exciting day for all of us! My Mom came over to watch Drew so I could take Noah and be able to help out if need be. I was sure glad I had arranged that because the whole concept of not touching the ball with your hands was a little crazy to some of the kids including Noah! The coach was great and I think Noah will love it, but we definitely need to do a little practice at home!
we made a fort under the dining room table one day last week during the snow storm!
Drewby liked the fort too!
still getting the hang of the placement of the pics on here so they are not technically in order, but here is more from soccer practice.
Drew in our rocking chair we recently got from Grandma Ann.
Soccer skills!
