Toy Story on Ice!

cookie and a root beer, real nutritious I know, but it was his special day so he got to indulge.

Sarge and his soldiers start the show.

Slinky the dog.

the whole gang.

Noah's favorite Woody and Jessie.

love how Noah is so cooperative with the camera!

Daddy suprised him with his very own Woody doll.

proud owner!

my favorite part was Barbie and Ken, they were awesome skaters!

a couple of weeks ago we took Noah to see Toy Story on Ice and it was AWESOME! We got a sitter for Drew so Noah could have a special day just with Mom and Dad and headed to Kent for the big show. I had never been to any show on ice, so I didn't know what to expect, but it was better than I could have imagined, even Orlin and I totally enjoyed it. Noah really wasn't into Disney movies until about 5 or 6 months ago and Toy Story was the first that really kept his attention and that he really enjoyed. We are moving onto some other movies now including Cars, and Finding Nemo so that we can give Toy Story a little rest for awhile. We look forward to seeing other shows on ice in the future.

weekend away at Whidbey.

a few weeks back we headed over to Whidbey for the weekend since Orlin had no work obligations and the weather was going to be good. The month of November has been crazy with Woodinville Whiskey events and a hunting trip that started today, so we made the most of an open weekend and had some fun family time at the beach!
Drew getting a driving lesson as we wait for the ferry.
Daddy and his boys.

look Mom, I found a rock.

Noah found a bucket of fun!

Noah gets all bent out of shape every time I try and take a picture of him lately, so I usually get some pretty funny expressions. This one's a good one!

such a beautiful day!

loving the beach.

yes that's right, I held Drew even though he was screaming so Noah could take our picture!

a little more fun in the front yard.

getting ready to make a beach fire.

Halloween 2011!

looking good Woody!

all amped up to go trick or treating!

and we're off!

waiting to fill his bag!

Noah was so freaked out of our neighbor's mask!

caught up with some neighbor friends.

my two cowboys!

would have been real cute had our little monkey joined the party!

Drewby and Nana held down the fort while we were out.
We had a great Halloween this year full of pumpkins, family, and yummy food of course! We gathered all our pumpkins out of the garden, which was about 20 of them and only managed to carve 3 or 4 cause, well, we ran out of time! We did put them all on our front porch, so it made for some fun decorations at least! Noah is still asking to carve them, but I'm just a little over it at this point! Noah was super excited to wear his Woody costume and unfortunately Drew wanted nothing to do with the monkey costume we had for him, so I really have no pics of him in his costume. :( Maybe I'll get it on when he's in a real good mood and come back and add the pic to this post just for the memory. Orlin and I made, chili, pumpkin soup, salad, and cornbread muffins for the night and enjoyed it with Jaclyn, (BIL Tyler's gf), Nana Sorensen, Grandma Hote, Grandma Doris, and my parents. We all enjoyed the food and then Orlin, Jaclyn, and I headed out with Noah to do some trick or treating around the neighborhood. Noah loved it and got really into saying "trick or treat", which was quite a big step from last year! He got plenty of candy and fortunately/unfortunately we still have lots of left over candy that we are trying to get through.
