Big boy!

in the last few weeks this guy has mastered his bike, started going potty on the big potty, #1 and #2, and as of a few nights ago, is sleeping in a big boy bed! Whoa nelly, someone slow this train down!

Pre-K!

This past Tuesday Noah had his first day of Pre-K and it was a Success! He was fairly excited to go, (which is good enough for me) and was greeted by many familiar faces from last year. I really like his teacher and I have a good feeling that this year will be great! Mom was pretty excited to get him back into a schedule as well!

looking quite daper for his first day.

getting acquainted with his new classroom.Drew as well!

look what I found!

see you in a couple of hours buddy! Seriously, 2 1/2 hrs. goes quick! Coudln't they at least make Pre-K an extra hour? Just an idea!

Bonnie Raitt concert.

The weekend after Labor Day, my sister and I took my Mom to the Bonnie Raitt concert at the winery for her birthday. Her good friend Dawn joined us and we all had such a good time and really enjoyed the concert. We all brought treats to share and bought a couple of bottles of delicious wine to enjoy during the show. Next time we will remember that they cut off the wine purchases around 8:30 so we will need to stock up before hand!  Bonnie is one of my Mom's fav's and both my sister and I love her because we grew up litsening to her mostly on all our trips over to Chelan and back. Whenever I hear her or Eric Clapton, I think of all the good times growing up with my parents and being over in Chelan. Such a fun evening and we couln't have asked for better weather.

waiting for the concert to start enjoying snacks and vino.

opening band was pretty darn good.

love this pic of my Mom and Dawn.

the stage looked so cool all lit up. I actually got in trouble after taking this one! No one told me, but apparently you are not supposed to take pics during the show. Whoops!

just a few more for kicks! ;)

such a fun night with these lovely ladies.

Labor Day Weekend.

This past Labor Day weekend we celebrated my good friend Jenn Jorve and her fiance Phil's upcoming wedding and their new baby on the way. Saturday we had a big party at her parents house here in Woodinville and had a wonderful time visiting and celebrating two awesome people who have much to look forward to. The small family wedding will take place in a few weeks and then baby boy is due end of December. Sometime in January, my friend Carrie and I plan to go visit them in San Diego so we can meet and snuggle their sweet little bundle! On Monday, (Labor Day) we had a small co-ed baby shower at my friend Carrie and Charb's house. The weather was beautiful for an outdoor brunch and Jenn and Phil got lots of cute things for their new baby boy. Fun weekend celebrating one of my oldest and dearest friends.

from left to right, Erika, Jenn, Carrie, Meghan and baby Eli, me and Melissa. Been friends with most of these ladies since Junior High. Look how cute Jenn is with that belly!

Erika, Carrie and I. Carrie made the name tags for the party and I was Carrie, "the nice one" and she was Carrie "the cranky one". Just so people didn't get confused! ;)

Family vaca on Lake Wenatchee

In mid August I was lucky enough to get away for a girls weekend in Chelan for 4 whole days! This has become an annual tradition for a group of us gals and each year we seem to add an additional day on to our trip. Eventually I'm sure it will be a week long! The good news is we had an awesome time, the bad news is I did not bring my camera to capture all the fun! We had lots of time at the beach each day, enjoyed many yummy cocktails, ate delicious food, and had two fun nights out, which included some great Kareokee!
Right after that little getaway Orlin and the boys had rented a little cabin right on Lake Wenatchee and headed over on the Sunday when we gals were heading out of town, so I just got dropped off there and had an additional 4 days with the family, which was super fun. Orlin brought his little fishing boat and he and Noah were up at the crack of dawn three mornings in a row and caught a total of 19 salmon! The weather was great, however it is pretty darn windy there, which made it feel a little chilly at times, but we had fun playing on the beach and relaxing as a family for those few days. My in laws headed over and stayed for a day and half, which was a treat for us and Orlin Sr. got to do some fishing with the guys and Sue, (my MIL) and I got to head into Leavenworth for a day of shopping and dining. All and all a great trip. When we left Thursday we figured we may as well head back to Chelan for the weekend and make the most of our trip, so we did just that and had some more fun swimming, sunning, and Noah even went on his first tube ride!

inside the cabin Drew and I had a few lazy morning while Noah and Daddy were fishing.

Noah and Daddy were brave enough for a swim.

first day's catch!

Noah was quite proud!

playtime on the beach.

nice buns! This was the begining of some potty training on this trip. He refused to keep his pants on when we were outside, so we just went with it and so far he is going # 1 and an occasional #2 in the big potty! Such a big boy!

enjoying a little quiet time during nap time.

Summer days gone by!

here are just a few of my favs from late July early August. I know it's pathetic how behind I am, but it's been a fun and busy summer! More good stuff to come.

fun visit to Grandma and Boppa's for some fun in the sun. Caught this little gem which is now one of my favorite pics!

Noah started up swim lessons again this summer and has made some great progress.

On Orlin's birthday, which was July 23rd btw, we went and picked rasberries at a farm in Snohomish called Raising Cane. We got a huge load of berries and had a great time.

caught red handed, literally!

a little break from the sun watchig Caillou.

Mr. Turkey on the right took a nibble of Drewby's finger after we told him over and over not to put his fingers through the fence! Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way!

love this one. Would be a good painting!

Birthday dinner/celebration for Orlin at our friends Dave and Karisa's house.

after a yummy dinner we enjoyed a great campfire and smores of course!
