On Saturday night, we planned to get our carving done, so after dinner we got out the pumpkins and got to work. Orlin had left at 1am to go hunting that morning and was gone most of the day, so needless to say, we were all a little tired, but managed to get through carving without any major injuries. Daddy helped Noah with his huge pumpkin, (which was already starting to rot) and I helped Drew with his, which ended up being me doing most of the carving. We are excited for Halloween. Noah will be Superman and Drew will be a monkey. Drew has been requesting Spiderman, so I have looked at several stores for a costume in his size, but haven't had any luck yet. We will see if I can find one in the next 2 days, otherwise he's the hand me down monkey.
Oh, btw, here are a couple of big items that have not been mentioned yet. Last Monday, Drew tripped and fell into the corner of our entertainment center and split his head open a little and the poor guy had to have 4 stitches! It didn't look that bad and really didn't bleed much, so we just assumed that it would get some tape or glue. We ate dinner and then I took him to Urgent care in Woodinville thinking it would be no biggie. Well, we got checked in and the nurse cleaned it and said it would need stitches. Orlin got a quick phone call with the news and then I prepared myself as well as Drew with a little Caillou on the iphone to do my best to distract him. Poor guy had to be strapped down with a blanket, 2 nurses to hold him down, shot in the head to numb it, and then 4 stitches. Poor buddy was histerical and I was about to loose it, but held it together enough to comfort him and distract him with a little Caillou! my phone so he could watch Caillou! Rough night for Mommy and Drew. On the way out the nurse gave him a sucker and a sticker, and he was good as new! He's healing great and we are hoping that he dosen't have too bad of a scar.
Also, we are moving again. I know, what the heck! Well, we had a 12 month lease to purchase on this house and unfortunately after a couple of tries, we realized that we would be unable to buy it within that time frame. We kept our eye's open for awhile and found a little 1400 sq. ft house on 2.3 acres right near Leota Jr. High and we have bought it! Our plan is to live in it for 2 to 3 years and then build what we want. The house we are in now went on the market about a month ago and sold within 2 weeks. We have to be out of this house on Nov. 15th and will move into the new place the weekend of the 10th and 11th. The new place needs some work, but we are excited to fix it up a little and make it our own. I will be doing lots of painting and we will be getting new carpet, so it will feel fresh and clean. Should be a fun project and I will keep the progress updated here for your pleasure. It's quite a downsize for us, but I think it will be fun and well worth the sacrifice in the end. Pics to come soon.

Fun day at Bob's Corn.
This past Saturday we headed to Bob's Corn and invited Uncle Ty and Jaclyn for a fun fall day at the pumpkin patch. We had lots of fun and even managed to run into a few friends! Noah picked out his pumpkin, which is huge and I found a super cool peach colored one that looks pretty on our front porch.

Mommy and Drew day.
Orlin and Noah left this weekend on a hunting trip over east, so Drew and I decided to head out to a couple of pumpkin patches today and have some fun. We were supposed to meet up with my girlfriend Meghan and her 3 kids, but at the last minute she had to cancel, which let's be honest, lugging three kids under the age of 4 to a pumpkin patch sounds like hell! Anyhoo, Drew and I got dressed in our best fall digs and headed for Stocker Farms first and then to Bob's Corn. We didn't pay a dime at Stocker Farms and had fun seeing all the cool pumpkins and even played in the play area for quite awhile. Such a great place for pictures too! We left there, got a coffee/hot chocolate and picked up our friend Keirsten since she had a half day at school and headed to Bob's Corn. We got there and had a wood fire pizza, (yum), a tractor ride down to the pumpkins, and ended our trip with a little cider and doughnuts. Super healthy day, but so much fun. Drew was pretty tired, which made for some lovely quiet time for Mom when we got home! Can't wait to go back with the whole family and do it all over again!

Tyler and Jaclyn's engagement party.
a couple of weeks ago we hosted Orlin's brother Tyler and his fiance Jaclyn's engagement party at the distillery, aka (Woodinville Whiskey). It was a perfect place for the party and everyone had a great time visiting and celebrating the lovely couple. We had it catered, which was awesome, and Jaclyn's Mom did all the desserts, which were all were delicious. We also had two signature cocktails with Woodinville Whiskey's Vodka and the Bourbon and they were a big hit! It was fun getting to know all of Jaclyn's friends as well as some additional family that came out for the event. I get the honor of being in the wedding and can't wait for all the fun details to come!
