Make a friend day at Wellington and Preschool Graduation.

Thursday May 30th was Noah's last day of preschool, his graduation, and make a friend day at Wellington Elementary. Big day to say the least! We had to miss the first hour of preschool for the make a friend day, but it was a really special morning for the new incoming kindergartners to see the classrooms, meet the kids that will be in their classes, and get a tour by the current kindergartners. Super cute! I was a little nervous because we literally just dropped them in the class and then the Mom's were taken on a separate tour, but he did great.

Noah was more than ready for preschool to be over, so he was excited for graduation and the start of summer break. The graduation ceremony was really sweet, they sang a few of their favorite songs and each received their preschool completion certificate. Very official! We had a potluck dinner afterwards and some time for all the families to visit and the kids to play one last time before summer. Kind of a bummer that Noah will not be going to school with any of the kids from his class since they will mostly be going to Maltby Elementary, but I am also excited for him to have a fresh start at a new school. Bring on summer and a new adventure as a kindergartner.

Noah walked so fast down the isle to receive his certificate, that this is what I got.

Springtime fun.

We have really been enjoying this sunny weather and have been spending lots of time outside. We put in a garden a couple of weeks ago and also finally got our chickens into their new home. Orlin found a good deal on the coop and built the run himself. They are loving it and it's so fun to see them running around throughout the day. Annie is still not sure what to think and would gladly have one of them for dinner if we'd let her. We are excited to get some fresh eggs, but will have to wait till late fall for their arrival!

Memorial Day weekend.

We headed to Chelan for the weekend and celebrated my sister's and my nephew's birthday since they both are at the end of May. The weather was not super warm, but the boys and their cousin's Tanner and Mandy were still up for doing lots of swimming in the pool! Unfortunately Daddy was not able to come since his business partner was out of town, so he had to cover for him at the distillery. We missed him for sure, (mostly me) but had a good time with my family.

a little tantrum fun at the pool!

working up the courage to go in the pool.

a little football fun with the cousins.

Noah loved helping Drew in the pool and gave him a few "rides".

Mother's Day.

We got back from our getaway on Mother's Day and were able to have a few hours to relax then headed to Orlin's parents for a delicious dinner with the family. Orlin's brother and wife Annie had their baby boy the week before and this was the first time we got to see him, so it was a very special day. We all got to hold and snuggle baby Ronan and he is oh so sweet.

Mommy and Daddy getaway.

Our trip to Kentucky didn't quite pan out, but instead we were able to visit our place on Whidbey for a couple of days, which was great especially since the weather was so awesome. We went out to eat at some new restaurants and headed into Coupeville one day to do a little shopping and have lunch. We even found a little Mother's Day present for me, which I was very excited about! On Thursday morning, we headed home just in time to see the Mother's Day tea, which meant the world to me.  Right after the tea we headed east and went to Mazama, which is near Winthrop. We stayed at the Freestone Inn, which is actually where we stayed the night after we got married. Beautiful place and one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed. We did a little hiking and biking and a whole lot of relaxing. We even met up with some good friends of ours that live in Winthrop and had dinner together on our last night. It was blissful!
this view never gets old.
