5 Years old!

Holy Moly, how can it be? Noah is the big 5 now and I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it! It just seems and sounds so old! I couldn't be more proud of what a sweet, smart, and independent little boy he has become and both Orlin and I feel so lucky to be his parents! He is such a wonderful role model for his little brother and he is one of the hardest working little guy's I have ever seen. His favorite thing in the world is to be out helping Dad do work either outside, at Daddy's work, or around the house. Thankfully he also loves helping Mom with some chores around the house and loves to help with dinner and do baking of any kind. He has just the right combination of sweet, stubborness, and sensitivity that makes him a pretty well rounded little boy. Since Noah's birthday is on Christmas Eve, it's always a little crazy since we do a big family celbration that night and most of the day is spent getting ready for the party. I wanted to make sure the day didn't consume us, so we tried our best to make sure he felt extra special all day long. We had a very fun morning with just us and he was thrilled to get the gear mountain bike that he was hoping for. My Dad and I found a bike on craiglist since I wasn't wanting to spend a fortune on a bike and we actually ended up getting one for $30. Sounded a little too good to be true and unfortunately it kinda turned out to be. My Dad went and picked it up, since he's the expert on bikes and after getting it home he realized it needed quite a bit of work to get it riding smoothly. After about $70 in new parts it was good as new and Noah was super excited to have a bike that would allow him to go on fun trail rides with me and his Boppa. After a nice morning, we headed over to Nana and Grandpa's for a little xmas/birthday celebration and then that night headed to Uncle Ty and Jaclyn for the big birthday celebration. Thank god they offered to host this year since we would just not have the room to host 20 plus people! The party was fantastic, the food so yummy, (Orlin deep fried a turkey for the firt time and it was delicious!) and most importantly, Noah had a great day and felt super special and very much loved! Happy 5th Birthday buddy! We love you so very much! Love, Mommy, Daddy, Drewby, and Annie.
