Tyler and Jaclyn's wedding.

Turned out to be quite the busy summer with two weddings, both of which I was in, but boy were they fun and super special! The baby of the Sorensen boy's is married off and finally we can call Jaclyn a sister and of course an Auntie. It was a beautiful day, beautiful venue, and of course the bride and groom looked pretty great too. Such a fun wedding, we just wished it would have lasted another few hours. Both boys were the ring bearers and did an awesome job. Noah had done it once before in a wedding, so he was an old pro and led the way for little bro. Their cousin Eva was the flower girl so it was so cute to be able to watch them walk down together. We were all honored to be a part of their special day.

Such a beautiful day at Swans Trail Farms in Snohomish. I was in my good friend Jenn's wedding two weeks later at this same place! It was like deja vu!

the dudes staying cool and "hydrated" before the ceremony.

All cleaned up! Kind of stressful making sure the boys were all put together for pics and the ceremony. Drew's suspenders kept falling down and his shirt was a wee bit big. I was very relieved when the ceremony was over and we could just relax and enjoy.

handsome guy!

The whole Sorensen family. Finally complete.

family photo fun.

Girls weekend 2013.

I really try and make this blog more about the kids...but every now and then it's Mommy's time for a little getaway and some F-U-N! Why not document the good times?!? This trip has been going on for the last 5 years and it's something that all of us look forward to all year long. It also seems to get a little longer every year. Orlin likes to refer to it as "Girls week". It's kind of a national holiday really! Always lots of fun, lots of beach time, yummy cocktails, and of course super fun nights at good old Buddy's Tavern. This year we also rented a party barge for one whole day, which was super fun!

Jackie, Casey, and Lisa. Headed out for a nice dinner in Chelan.

beautiful night in town.

yummy dinner at Campbell's. I believe it was like 10:00 and we were all starved.

Days of summer.

It's really been an awesome summer and the weather we've had has been nothing short of stellar. We got a new boat back in July and have been taking full advantage of the beautiful days and evenings and have taken lots of fun trips. Orlin went on a 5 day trip up to Vancouver Island with some buddies and caught a load of salmon and halibut and had a great time. Turns out that when you buy this type of boat back east like Orlin did, you can sell it for about 30% more here, sooooo that is what we are doing. Might seem a little crazy, but we have a list of things we can do with that money and we can always get another one next spring.
Scratch that, the old man flaked out on us and decided not to buy, so we are still boat owners, for now at least.
We made it over to Chelan a handful of times and the first weekend in August was a big 60th birthday party for my parents and all their friends who also turned 60 this year. The party was at the Lake Chelan Yacht Club and they had a live band and lots of yummy food. Potluck style, which is always the best. It also was the weekend of the rodeo, so my sister and I took the kids for the weekend and enjoyed all the fun festivities. We also managed to hit up Slidewaters!

Our first trip out with the new boat. It was also Orlin's bday, so after a short cruise over to our place on Whidbey to visit his parents who happen to be there for a few days, we went back to Anthony's Beach Café for dinner. Such a fun place for kids with the sand pit they have.

fun seeing the cruise ships out.

Chelan trip with the cousins.

We went for pizza in town before the rodeo. Noah lost his tooth while we were eating and accidently swallowed it. He was quite concerned, but we assured him it would come right out in a day or two and the tooth fairy would still come. Fun to have the tooth fairy come to Chelan!

admiring the pretty horses before the rodeo.

Mandy is a true cowgirl at heart. She would give anything to have her own horse.

Mandy was so excited to sit with the Chelan rodeo princess.

the Young family. Good friends of our family. They also have had a place in Chelan for years, so we've grown up having many fun memories with them.

a little tubing for Mandy. Couldn't convince Noah to go this year.
